Fall-Winter 18/19

FROM THE SUBURBS — TO THE CITY

For FW18-19 Flow The Label remains faithful to the story of romantic and light womenswear, mixing it with the allusions to classic men's hunting and fishing suits. The collection is fitting together from the deconstructed elements like pieces of a puzzle: here are the laces and cords that fishermen used for tieing their clothes up, with eyelets telling the story about high functionality of the clothes; here are the patch pockets with flaps designed to store either hunter's whistles or smartphones and notebooks with to-do lists; here are the puffed shoulders with straps; here is a cap replacing the traditional jockey kepi. All clothes are united by the monochrome and laconism of the palette, as if designed not to focus attention away from the main – the woman who wears them. Flow The Label is always about the neverending weekend wardrobe which is relaxed, free and breathing, the one you want to live in.

The designer carries the pictures from the “Downton Abbey” into the new collection, sharing her discoveries of a leisure suite of XIX and XX centuries. The thing is that it is not a cozy suburb but a city with its exhausting and at the same time fascinating rhythm.

The silhouette of Flow The Label is semifitted. This season the brand departs from deliberate femininity while maintaining the softness of lines and lightness of mood. Flow's heroine is a freelancer, a visual, an esthete and a bit of a hedonist who stands for sincerity and family ideals. She feels equally comfortable speaking at highly specialized professional forums and serving a Sunday lunch for twelve; she hurries but doesn't lose the step, she inspires and get inspired.

In the FW collection the brand returns to jeans again. It also continues the knitted story: the designer suggests wearing cardigans and sweaters inspired by Fair Isle sailors with complementary ponchos. Alternatively it can be oversized double-breasted coats and faux fur coats.

It's the first time when Flow The Label has the accessories line in collaboration with Partem brand.  The kine is represented by big leather backpacks and belt bags that can perfectly complete the look of a city freelancer who lives in a constant change of formats and is always in time.

The new collection is about the combinations: of air chiffon and solid wool, of fragile lace and rough textures, of deep vents and rows of buttons; about the details stringing the eras, traditions, locations, male and female on the one thread. This is how Flow The Label sees the present day – cosmopolitan, multicultural and incredibly interesting.
